The Lakes Project - Update
As some of you may have witnessed during your round of golf this week, the much-awaited lakes project has started. We are hoping the good weather continues and the lakes dries up so that contractors can start removing the Sludge etc from next Monday.
We will endeavour to have minimum disruption to the course for our members and visitors.
A reminder that
- The 5th hole (par 3) is closed for play for the duration of the project.
- The 9th hole is split into two holes (9A & 9B) and played as a par four with a temporary green in the fairway and as a Par 3 into the current 9th green. Please be considerate when playing hole 9A. Do not tee off if you feel you could hit your tee shot onto or close to the green. This is for the safety of players putting on Green 9A.
- Holes 13 is played as a par 3 with tee markers around the 90m mark.
- Hole 14 and15 is playable but please note the following restrictions due to trucks moving between the lake and Richardson road over a period of three days (week beginning 13th Jan). At these times the fairways will be marshalled by the Contractor. This will require you to ‘Stop and Go' as directed. Trucks will be crossing approximately every half an hour so please adhere to the marshal's directions.
For health and safety reasons, please stay away from the lake, machinery etc and do not try to retrieve golf balls.
Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to the completion of this project.
